Pepsi-Cola (Thai) to launch latest extruded snacks ‘Lay’s Play’ for teenager segment

Pepsi-Cola (Thai) Trading Co Ltd, a local arm of PepsiCo Inc, is aggressively tapping into Thailand’ Bt10 billion (US$300 million) extruded snacks segment by launching “Lay’s Play” a new potato-based snacks featuring fun shapes and a variety of flavours that provide great value to consumers.
The launch is aimed to capitalise on the continuous expansion of the extruded snacks segment where growth has reached 8.3% during the past 7 months.
Extruded snacks are among the top 3 segments that have achieved the highest growth rates and were higher than the industry average, said Nitin Bhandari, Marketing Director for Foods at Pepsi-Cola (Thai) Trading Company Limited.
